18 BN MPs are accused of supporting Muhyiddin: Sanusi

Muhammad Sanusi spoke at the Kedah PN Thanksgiving Ceremony at Pas Kedah Complex in Kota Sarang Semut, Alor Setar on Sunday night.

ALOR SETAR – Director of Central Pas Elections, Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md. Nor claimed that at least 18 Barisan Nasional (BN) members of Parliament supported Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin as Prime Minister.

He, who is also the Menteri Besar of Kedah, said that some of the members of Parliament involved also expressed their willingness to join the Perikatan Nasional (PN).

Muhammad Sanusi said, Muhyiddin who is also the PN Chairman involved is believed to be sworn in as the 10th Prime Minister at Istana Negara in a ceremony at about 4pm this afternoon.

“It is understood that there are already 18 people (BN members of Parliament) who have expressed their support, so PN will form the government.

“I hope all parties pray that the list of names that need to be sent to the Yang di-Pertuan Agong before 2pm can be submitted. God willing, the Prime Minister’s Oath-taking Ceremony will take place at 4pm,” he said.

He said this while speaking at the Kedah PN Thanksgiving Ceremony at Pas Kedah Complex in Kota Sarang Semut, here, on Sunday night.

He explained that the list of names of individuals will go through several procedures and must be sent to Istana Negara before 2pm and will be followed up with the Prime Minister’s Oath-taking Ceremony at 4pm.

“Pray that all this goes perfectly as expected for us to bring this country to be caring, clean and stable,” he said.

In the same development, Muhammad Sanusi said, PAS had invited UMNO to cooperate before under one idea, but the party was stubborn and remained with their position to reject cooperation.

“Should we invite him? He wants to or not (but) he doesn’t want to, right. It’s not that we don’t want to. So, this is Zahid’s (Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi’s) fault, the current leader’s fault but the one who bears the shame of the UMNO members below,” he said.
