STOCK EXCHANGE Malaysia Bhd and its subsidiaries will be closed on Friday, November 18 in conjunction with a special holiday as announced yesterday by the Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.
Bursa Malaysia and its subsidiaries will resume operations on Monday, 21 November 2022, the exchange operator said in a statement.
Ismail Sabri declared November 18 and 19 as public holidays to enable voters to exercise their right to vote in the 15th General Election (GE15).
He said, November 19 was also declared a public holiday because there may be some companies from the private sector, especially factories, that will operate on that day, making it difficult for their workers to cast their votes.
