Indian voter support for BN increased

SEREMBAN: Indian voters’ support for Barisan Nasional (BN) is believed to continue to increase ahead of voting day for the 15th General Election (GE15).

BN Deputy Chairman, Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan said, as a result of his observation, the trend of increasing support has started since several previous by-elections (PRK) up to the State Election (PRN) including in Melaka.

“Obviously there is a change in attitude, especially among Indian voters, the biggest percentage of support is from the Indian community.

“In Melaka, the increase was 28 percent, it was big and in Johor the pattern continued,” he told reporters after he attended the Leaders Together People Friendly Program at Taman Permata, Rantau here today.

Mohamad, who is also the BN candidate in the Rembau Parliament, added that he is confident that the support from the Indian community will continue to increase and will be translated during GE15.

“After six days, as I said yesterday, based body language and the response of the public, very encouraging. If in GE14, if they see the BN logo they avoid but this time it clearly shows that they are very friendly and waiting for our arrival.

“I believe this general election, the support of Indians will be the main support for us, especially in the marginal seats, where we need the support of Indians, it is very welcome and I believe it can be translated in GE15 this time, ” he said.-MESSENGER.
