The combination of GPS+PN+BN+GRS forms a Federal government: Abang Johari

KUCHING – Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) on Sunday agreed to form a coalition with Perikatan Nasional (PN), Barisan Nasional (BN) and Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) to form a federal government.

Announcing the matter on Sunday, its Chairman, Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg said, GPS also chose PN Chairman, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin as the candidate for Prime Minister.

“Our main focus and responsibility now should be the stability of the country and the well-being of the people,” he said in a press conference at the Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) headquarters here.

In the GE15 yesterday, GPS, which is made up of four local Sarawak parties, won 22 of the 31 Parliamentary seats in the state.
