WAF wants to change the face of Machang

Unafraid to fight the old people in the political field, the Armada Chief of Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu), Wan Ahmad Fayhsal Wan Ahmad Kamal or better known as WAF, 35, has his own plans as a young person in the National Alliance (PN).

Choosing to use the Pas symbol, he is ready to bring change in Machang and promises sustainable development in the district.

Follow Sinar Harian reporter ASWANY OMAR’s interview with WAN AHMAD FAYHSAL to find out the direction of this Machang parliamentary candidate if PN wins the 15th General Election (GE15) on Saturday.

DAILY LIGHT: Many candidates when campaigning promised to improve development and the economy. For PN, what is the latest thing you want to share with the people of Machang?

WAN AHMAD FAYHSAL: During the campaign in Machang, one of the problems that was not given serious attention was related to the health of the community, especially the elderly.

They face the problem of disease. Their quality of life is also affected when they are infected and this is one of the factors of declining health. Among the priorities that I see is that there needs to be an infrastructure and help in the context of health for the people of Machang.

Among the many views I have received from the people is their hope that Machang Hospital will be upgraded so that it becomes a hospital with many specialists and not just as it is said to be a ‘panadol hospital’, in accordance with its very strategic location in the state because it is in the middle of the state and the people do not have to worry hard work to Kota Bharu or Kubang Kerian including Terengganu residents who receive this overflow of benefits.

What are the drastic plans within 100 days if PN is elected to lead Machang?

Before we give ‘medicine’, it is necessary to examine the ‘disease’ first. So, we will check all the Machang development plans included in the list of the 11th and 12th Malaysia Plans as well as the implementation status of whether the implementation is going smoothly or there are other problems. We do not want this matter to be delayed, there may be other factors but many are not satisfied with the problem of slow development in Machang.

We will also ensure that community mapping is carried out more fairly and clearly to get help in addition to the needs of farmers and smallholders who require the cooperation of related agencies including the Kemubu Agricultural Development Authority (KADA) and the Rubber Industry Smallholder Development Authority (RISDA).

What will be the picture of the PN administration in Machang if it wins GE15?

I don’t want political parties to dominate certain sectors and government bodies by pressuring certain groups. This is actually a long time ago and PN did not practice this method to govern society. I will change the administration like this. For me there is no caste and favoritism because the people represent all parties. So there are no restrictions for teachers, civil servants give me special support. Let my work be a backup and an argument whether I deserve to be a Member of Parliament after the next five years. It’s up to the voters here. In the meantime, non-Malays and non-Bumiputeras will also definitely receive equal treatment in this context.

What about the young people’s acceptance of the PN campaign?

Alhamdulillah very encouraging. Maybe my 35-year-old age factor is an advantage to understand their problems. There is a new thing that I will implement which is the establishment of a Football Academy in Machang which is one of the development of young people in addition to efforts to improve beliawanis. I believe that young people are with PN. Many want to know the development that will be implemented to balance Machang with the surrounding areas including Tanah Merah.

In the next five years, Machang needs a Central Spine which is the main key to economic planning here. This basic infrastructure is the main way to speed up travel from Kelantan to the rest of the country, especially on the east coast, which is the catalyst for modernization in Machang. It is also difficult for investors to increase if this matter is not resolved. In addition, the Sungai Bagan Industrial Park which can reduce the cost of building houses for young people should also be included in the list of completed developments in addition to fighting for the Internet which is an important matter in the context of employment, business and education.

What is the hope for young voters and those outside the area?

I assure PN will provide a much better service than 10 years ago because we have a clean and stable governance philosophy. So, for young people, there will be no more split votes after this. To young people and voters outside Machang take the opportunity and go home to vote because there are many changes that PN will bring if they give us a mandate.
